About
Satish Kanwar is a technology entrepreneur and business leader based in Toronto, Canada. He is the Co-Founder of Good Future, a family office investor and operator building a multidisciplinary community of entrepreneurs focused on having a positive-sum impact on the world.
Satish was previously at Shopify for 10 years in both product and corporate leadership roles. He was the Vice President of Product Acceleration, where he headed 30+ strategic acquisitions, investments, and alliances with mission-aligned companies. He also led Shopify's long-term expansion from online stores to multi-channel commerce across ecommerce, point of sale, mobile, marketplaces, and Shop, including partnerships with Meta, Google, TikTok, Amazon, and Apple.
Before Shopify, Satish co-founded award-winning design studio Jet Cooper, which was acquired by Shopify in 2013 in order to establish its footprint in Toronto. Satish spearheaded the rapid growth of Shopify's operations in the city over its formative years.
He is the Board Chair of BetaKit, Canada’s leading tech news publication, and a Board Director of Toronto Global, the region's investment attraction agency. He has been named to Forbes' 30 Under 30 and Toronto Life's Most Influentials. He is an alumnus of the University of Toronto and recipient of the Arbor Award.
